September - Recorded at The Tracking Room Nashvville (Taylor Swift)
This was the first song I found on the week I got back from my honeymoon. Such a cute rendition of September by Earth, Wind & Fire. Taylor Swift never seems to disappoint!
The Killing Moon - Transformed (Echo & the Bunnymen)
This song was actually on the new season of Thirteen Reason Why on Netflix. The season was OK if I'm being honest, but the song is super good! I also downloaded the non-acoustic version of this song from the last season, but I think I like this version a lot more.
Like I Did with You - Acoustic (Us the Duo)
This song just gets me in the feels about super cute new hubbie :). Love this song!
May I Have This Dance (Meadowlark)
This is also a song I heard in a movie (I can't remember which one, I think there are a few that feature this song though!). It took me forever to find and download it, but it's so cute and calming for fall.
Prom Queen (Catie Turner)
If any of you follow the amazingly talented Shane Dawson, you've probably also discovered this song! I made this song THE song of the month because it is just THAT GOOD. Kinda sad, but I think everyone needs a good sad song here and there (or maybe just me? LOL). I played it on repeat everyday for at least a week. Definitely check it out!
God Only Knows (Kina Grannis, Imaginary Future)
My husband danced with his mom to the original version of this song by The Beach Boys. I ended up joining in with his dad and it was such a wonderful moment. Definitely one of my favorites from that day! This cover was definitely meant to be when I found it in my Discover Weekly playlist. Kina Grannis has an incredible voice too!
Where the Skies Are Blue (Abe Abraham)
I Will Follow You into the Dark (Jasmine Thompson)
You (A Great Big World)
Don't Go My Darlin' (The National Parks)
Honestly, these 4 songs were just in my Discover Weekly playlist as well, but there's not really much of a meaning behind them! They're fantastic though, so I highly recommend!
Music is so important to me. I make playlists not just to make them, but to use them as a form of journal for myself. When I go back and listen to my old playlists, it's like a flashback to the time when I was listening to those songs on repeat, and all of the memories from those times flash along with it. It's my favorite thing ever! It is also not even close to the end of fall, so I would be very surprised if I don't add anymore songs! Just thought I'd let you all know about it for now :). You can follow along and listen to this playlist here
